Otabek Kasimov joined the JVI as Front Desk/Program Officer in July 2022. He previously worked as a Marketing Director at Serendipity Group LLC in Tashkent since 2019, consulting on the development of marketing strategy for various industries. Prior to that, Otabek spent more than six years in academia as scientific associate and senior research associate at Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry. In addition to providing administrative support for the implementation of local and international research projects he has been assisting the Rector of the Institute in developing academic cooperation with Chinese universities. Otabek holds a master’s degree in the technology of weaving from Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry. He is a native Uzbek speaker, is fluent in English and Russian, has a working knowledge of Chinese and pre-intermediate level knowledge of German.
