JVI Newsletter ▪ June 2026

Dear Friends of the JVI,

With the summer upon us, I am glad that in addition to the great courses that we are running here at the JVI, participants are now able to enjoy more of Vienna’s wonderful outdoor spaces. This month I would like to take the opportunity to flag the forthcoming OeNB | SUERF | JVI | Yale Program on Financial Stability Conference, which is taking place on October 5, and also to report on our recent courses on Advanced National Accounts Statistics and Managing Fiscal Risks

In staff news, I would like to share a retrospective interview with Christoph Daniel, our Senior IT Officer who recently left the JVI.

Deadlines are approaching fast for courses on Monetary Policy Communication (JVI/DBB/OeNB), Financial Sector Policies, Financial Crisis Management, Analysing Macrofinancial Linkages and Interacting with International Institutions, and Investment and Invest in Finance (delivered by the EIB). So please do review the schedule for these courses and many more, and apply now!

As always, we welcome your questions, comments, or feedback, so please reach out to us at jvi@jvi.org or follow us on LinkedIn. Many thanks to Rilind Kabashi, our Editor, Maša Valenko, Assistant Editor, and all the contributors to this edition.

Ben Kelmanson
Director, Joint Vienna Institute
