JVI Newsletter ▪ February 2023

Dear Friends of the JVI,

We hope that this first newsletter of 2023 finds you well. As announced in the previous issue, we have significantly loosened the Covid-19 rules: there is no longer any vaccination or recent recovery requirement to attend training at the JVI

This newsletter reports on five recent courses/events delivered at the JVI: the conference of the IMF’s European Regional Network for Infrastructure Governance; the European Commission’s Workshop on EMU for accession countries; the advanced course on Model-Based Monetary Policy Analysis and Forecasting; the brand new course on Macroprudential Policy Implementation, resulting from a new partnership with the National Bank of Slovakia; and the 3rd joint workshop on public debt dynamics, which focused on climate-related risks. A webinar discussed monetary policy challenges inside and outside of the euro area, and another one an integrated approach to fighting corruption, money laundering and tax crimes.  Please also meet Elene Koridze, who joined the JVI staff last month!

If you have any questions, comments, or feedback of any kind, please write us a note at jvi@jvi.org. Many thanks to Rilind Kabashi, our Editor, Maša Valenko, and all the contributors to this Newsletter.

Hervé Joly
Director, Joint Vienna Institute
