JVI Newsletter ▪ February 2026

Dear Friends of the JVI,

Welcome to the first newsletter of 2026.

We hope that you are well and have already embarked on a new and exciting year. In this context, I am happy to share with you once again the JVI 2026 Course Schedule

Deadlines are approaching fast for courses on Public Governance and Structural Reforms, Applied Economic Policy—our flagship course—and also for Inclusive Growth. So please do review the schedule for these courses and many more, and apply now!

In this edition of our newsletter I am happy to report on a number of courses recently delivered at the JVI: IMF courses on Nowcasting and Selected Issues in Fintech Regulation and Supervision, and an IMF/World Bank course on External Debt Statistics and World Bank Debtor Reporting System—Enhancing Transparency and Sustainability. In addition, we report on the course on Real Estate Analysis and Policies, an ongoing collaboration between the Narodowy Bank Polski, ECB, JVI and the National Bank of Slovakia, delivered in Warsaw.

Many of you may also know two colleagues who have recently left the JVI, and who have shared with us some thoughts on their time here in Vienna: Markus Eller and Tatiana Evdokimova

As always, we welcome your questions, comments, or feedback, so please reach out to us at jvi@jvi.org or follow us on LinkedIn. Many thanks to Rilind Kabashi, our Editor, Maša Valenko, Assistant Editor, and all the contributors to this edition.

Ben Kelmanson
