JVI Newsletter ▪ December 2022

Dear Friends of the JVI,

First, best wishes to all for happy year-end holidays and a healthy and prosperous new year! Moving to 2023, we will hopefully leave Covid-19 behind us, allowing us to focus on ways to improve your training experience at the JVI. In this regard, I am happy to share that we expect to loosen our Covid-19 requirements soon, which should allow more of you to come to Vienna. More information will be available on our website in the coming weeks.

This newsletter reports on two recent courses, which showcase the breadth of our curriculum: Managing Capital Flows and Financial Translation and Editing. The JVI also recently hosted the 7th High-Level Peer-to-Peer Workshop for Central Bankers from the Caucasus, Central Asia, Moldova and Mongolia. A webinar presented The IMF’s Economic Outlook for Europe, and another one focused on Rethinking Energy Policies in Europe Following the war in Ukraine. You may also be interested in recent research by two JVI economists on the link between carbon prices and stock returns.

Don’t forget to review our course schedule for 2023 and to register for courses before taking a well-deserved year-end break!

If you have any questions, comments, or feedback of any kind, please write us a note at jvi@jvi.org. Many thanks to Rilind Kabashi, our Editor, Maša Valenko, and all the contributors to this Newsletter.
