Центральные банки в эпоху искусственного интеллекта

AI

TARGET GROUP | Mid-level officials in central banks from different business functions, including monetary policy, market operations, payment systems, statistics, financial stability and banking supervision, who are familiar with the use of artificial intelligence such as ChatGPT and have at the minimum 5 years of work experience in central banking.

DESCRIPTION | This course is designed to provide central bankers with a comprehensive understanding of how AI can be applied in monetary policy, financial regulation and other central bank functions as well as the implications of AI adoption by economic agents on the respective central bank functions. Each session should ideally blend lectures, discussions, and practical exercises, such as demonstrating example prompts, to allow for peer exchange and maximize learning. The incorporation of guest speakers from renowned institutions (e.g. large banks using AI) provides additional insights.

The course is a collaborative effort between the JVI and the ECB as an early adopter of AI among major central banks and was offered in 2025 for the first time. The course involves guest speakers from the IMF (IT and Monetary and Capital Markets Department), a large Austrian bank and other institutions to provide real-world insights into AI use by various institutions. Most sessions take place in person in Vienna.
