FFS

TARGET GROUP | Staff from central banks, finance ministries and other public institutions who are involved in Fintech.

DESCRIPTION | The financial system is rapidly changing due to a wide range of technological innovations that are often subsumed under the heading ‘Fintech’. Fintech impacts many aspects of the financial system, from key bank functions such as the provision of loans to payment systems and the creation of cryptocurrencies. These developments imply many opportunities for the financial system as well as the real economy. At the same time they also imply new challenges for financial stability and financial supervision. The aim of this course is to provide a structured overview of the range of Fintech developments in general and across the JVI region, identifying opportunities for financial development as well as challenges from a public policy perspective.
