Seminar on the Functioning of Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) for officials from EU candidate countries and potential candidates

TARGET GROUP | Officials from ministries of finance and central banks, as well as from other institutions responsible for macroeconomic policymaking, from EU candidate countries and potential candidates. Participants should be familiar with the basic concepts of economic policymaking under the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) and be involved in work on policies firmly related to macroeconomic, macrofinancial and public finance issues.

 

DESCRIPTION | This one-week seminar on Applied EU Economic Policy, organized by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN), in collaboration with the Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), through its TAIEX instrument, covers substantive aspects of EU economic policies under the EMU.

 

Applications are centrally collected by ministries of finance in EU candidate countries and potential candidates and then addressed to DG ECFIN, which selects the most suitable participants, with the support of the appropriate national administrations.
