Peer-to-Peer Workshop on AI Applications for Revenue Mobilization in the JVI Region

TARGET GROUP: Senior officials from Revenue Authorities and Ministries of Finance across the JVI region who are involved in the oversight, design, or implementation of AI tools.

DESCRIPTION: This peer-to-peer learning workshop, organized by the JVI in cooperation with the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department, focuses on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) for revenue mobilization. It brings together senior officials from Revenue Authorities and Ministries of Finance across the JVI region who are involved in the oversight, design, or implementation of AI tools. The workshop aims to facilitate the systematic exchange of recent country experiences, showcase successful practices, and promote regional collaboration. It will highlight the potential of AI to enhance tax compliance and risk analysis – both essential for strengthening public revenues in times of fiscal constraint – while also improving taxpayer services.
