WTO Regional Workshop on Trade Remedies: Introduction to the WTO Remedies Disciplines, Understanding and Application

TARGET GROUP | Middle to senior level government officials working on WTO matters, as well as those who are, or are expected to be, involved in trade remedy work, including preparing notifications of anti-dumping, subsidies, and safeguards measures.

DESCRIPTION | The Workshop will offer a practical introduction and overview of trade remedies proceedings within the framework of the WTO system. Among other things, the session will examine the core principles governing trade remedies and detail the legal frameworks applicable to anti-dumping, subsidies and countervailing measures, and safeguards, including the substantive conditions required for their application.
